SEL for Health/PE
Join SHAPE America this summer as we explore social and emotional learning competencies and identify ways to teach and assess SEL skills in the health, physical education and physical activity settings. Identify new opportunities to emphasize these important skills, including a student's ability to make good decisions, recognize and respond to their own emotions, form effective peer relationships, and persevere through difficulty.

PESI 2019: Indianapolis
The Indiana University school of public health hosts a two-day summer institute at North Wayne Elementary School (Indianapolis, Indiana). Topics include: Social Emotional Learning in PE, Get Me Some Money: Successful Funding Ideas, EveryBody can Learn: Adapted PE Ideas, and Verbal Judo: De-escalating conflicts.

Indiana Youth Institute offers Professional Development Grants that may be used for conferences, trainings, or workshops like the INSHAPE State Conference. Applications are taken monthly in May, July, August, September, and October. Apply early to increase your odds of success. (Hint: you can re-apply if needed)
