Funding Health/Physical Education

Additional money for professional development . . . and more

How much of the $1.1B will your school district get as part of ESSA's, Title IVa funding? Will it be the minimum ($10,000) or more than a million dollars? Check out the preliminary allocations.
Indiana Department of Education's application is now available for school districts to improve academic achievement through health and safety programming. The Indiana Healthy Weight Initiative's Healthy Schools Action Team has identified examples of fundable activities for school districts to consider when completing their application.
These activities directly connect to the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model developed by ASCD and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Among the list of great options is professional development. Make your request to attend the 2018 INSHAPE conference before your Title IVa funds are committed to other programs.
