The largest gathering of Hoosier health and physical educators starts in four short weeks. Excitement is building as registration already exceeds 2016 figures. Here's why: Over 100 sessions offer conference attendees a wide range of opportunities to learn, share, and network. Highlights include:
- International keynote speaker, Dean Kriellaars, will share recent developments and implementation of physical literacy in education, recreation and sport - - SHAPE America President, Fran Cleland will talk about "50 Million Strong" - - Judy LoBianco will share stories of moral courage - doing the right thing when faced with difficult choices and consequences - - Recognition of Teachers of the Year - - Celebration of INAHPERD's 100th birthday including a reunion reception, festive party, and prizes/giveaways worth thousands of dollars - - Extended conference programming that includes local, national, and international Olympians - - An exposition hall of vendors and suppliers offering new programs, information, and products -
There is still time to register.

Historical Tidbit #5
|
In the 1940s, the association restructured the district organization. Physical education clinics were established in partnership with the State Board of Health. These clinics were designed to provide help for programs and methods for physical education teachers, coaches, and administrators.
