The 2018 conference starts in two weeks. Registration numbers are ahead of last year at this time so we expect a robust and diverse group of health and physical educators.
While you can register any time (including on-site), you can only get a free lunch ticket when you pre-register by October 25th. Select from a long list of lunch sessions that allow you to network with other like-minded educators.

A Neurobiology of Stress, Hope

Lori Desautels, 2018 Keynote speaker, will explore how the brain is affected by stress, its ability to bounce back and calming effects of movement and breath! She will discuss strategies that contribute to the emotional social and cognitive health of all persons.

Pre-Conference Training

Strengthen your game with OPEN

This pre-conference training session (free to members, $99 for non-members) provides you with the fun that keeps your students engaged and the rigor your administrators want to observe. This session will focus on student engagement, effective instructional strategies, and academic rigor.

PLYOGA is an equipment free format that caters to every participant through balance, agility, power and endurance work. The class format caters perfectly to physical education, lining up with key standards and trends in functional fitness. Teacher training (and certification) is a pre-conference workshop on November 4th. INSHAPE members attend at half price.

Warren Central Success Story

Although 70% of the school’s students qualified for free and reduced meals, fewer than 15% of all students were eating school breakfast, leaving many of them hungry and distracted. With the help of an AHFK grant – as well as some effective problem-solving by the school’s leadership team – all of that soon changed.
