This incredible one-day event will examine how schools that embrace the Whole School, Whole Child, Whole Community model see multiple benefits to their community both academically and in social-emotional benefits. The event will include sessions for physical education and health educators, as well as school administrators.
The Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model is a collaborative, holistic approach to strengthening learning and health in our nation's schools. The model — developed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and ASCD, — establishes a safe, protective and challenging environment for students to thrive in.
The day will feature an inside look at the amazing academic program at the Maria Saucedo Scholastic Academy (Chicago, IL), as well as breakout sessions designed for members of the health and physical education community (flyer).
Lunch will be provided and we hope you’ll be able to join us for a special welcome happy hour on Sunday, February 16 at 6 PM at Kitty O’Shea’s in the Hilton Chicago on S. Michigan Avenue. A round of complimentary drinks and appetizers will be provided, along with some great networking!
