Moving Forward Mindfully

During this unprecedented crisis, INSHAPE health and physical education teachers have worked creatively to keep students healthy, active and engaged at home — all while sharing a singular philosophy: Teach On.
Through dance parties, breathing exercises, sidewalk chalk obstacle courses, yoga, and more, INSHAPE teachers are helping students — and families — cope with stress and anxiety.

And, you are showing parents the importance of social and emotional learning and building a foundation for lifelong, healthy habits through health and physical education.
No one knows when our school buildings will reopen, but one thing is certain: regardless of physical location our dedicated health and physical education professionals will "teach on," keeping their students’ needs at the forefront.

National Physical Education and Sport Week

As we prepare to celebrate National Physical Education and Sport Week (May 1 - 7), INSHAPE and SHAPE America send our teachers a “virtual high five” in honor of their work teaching life-changing skills to our nation's youth.
Do you need teacher tools for next month? SHAPE America's Mind & Body calendars are a great resource to send home to students or to share through a link in a newsletter or e-mail out to parents. The calendars encourage students to stay physically active while working on aspects of mental wellness, too.
