INSHAPE annually features a Teacher of the Year Award to recognize the work of outstanding educators. The awards are given in recognition of outstanding teaching performance and the ability to motivate today's youth to participate in a lifetime of physical activity.
This year, two INSHAPE Teachers of the Year are among five national finalists in their respective categories for 2020 SHAPE America National Teacher of the Year. Each teacher represents the Midwest District of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, and Indiana.
