Prepare for Re-Entry

Editor's Note: Announcing a new virtual summit in July to prepare for the upcoming school year. In the meantime, you are invited to the next INSHAPE virtual town hall on June 19th.

"What will school look like next year?" That is the question of the week for everyone. Districts and schools are busy developing local plans with direction from the Indiana DOE's re-entry guidelines and county health officials.
INSHAPE is working to ensure that the unique needs of health and physical educators are considered. SHAPE America just released a new document with specific re-entry guidance for health and physical education.
To support all health and physical educators with the challenges of a new school year, INSHAPE today announces free professional development opportunities in July via the INSHAPE Summer Professional Learning Institute.

The INSHAPE Summer Professional Learning Institute is a virtual event tackling important questions about teaching PE/health in a pandemic and post-pandemic world like:
  • What is the role of e-Learning in health and PE?
  • What new resources will I need when I return?
  • What new lessons can I use?
  • How does social and emotional learning for H/PE work?
  • What is the role of an H/PE teacher in a "whole child" world?
  • What grants and other funding sources are available for 2020-2021?
  • How can I make an impact at my school in the post-pandemic era?

The institue is free for everyone. Register to attend the event on your schedule between July 20 - 24. A growing list of prominent speakers already includes:
