Happy New Year!

Welcome 2020!     The "dropping of the ball" is a reminder to reflect on the past and gaze towards the future. The dawn of a new decade reminds me of a resolution I made a decade ago. I've made the same annual resolution without change each of the last ten years.

Celebrate life like you mean it with . . .

  • A humble, pleasing personality,
  • A teachable disposition,
  • A thankful heart,
  • A forgiving spirit, and
  • No regrets.
Timeless and enduring, this resolution is my constant reminder to focus on the "why" and the "how" as more important than the "what." This resolution encourages me to explore purpose, character, and relationships.
Celebrating a new year - and a new decade - is a prompt to ponder possibilities and seize opportunities. This applies to individuals and groups. As a group of dedicated and passionate educators, INSHAPE has made its own kind of resolution. The vision:

A state where all children are prepared to lead healthy, physically active lives.

The power of association is the ability to achieve greater goals that cannot be accomplished individually. The vision becomes reality when health and physical educators join together for common causes.
Won't you help RE-SHAPE the conversation to create a climate/culture where health literacy and physical literacy advance the learning, health, and happiness of all Indiana youth?
Next year's words await your voice. Together, we can make a difference. Contact me to start a dialog.

Executive Director
